A young couple with a beautiful child came to our office having just been give the heartbreaking news that their child’s visa had been rejected.
Background:
The couple had adopted the child – the birth mother was the sister of our client.
However the our client had been assisted by a dodgy migration agent and they were give very poor advice – form bring the child here on a visitor visa then once here apply for a child visa…
So now the visa application has been refused (of course) and time is running out.

Armed with the court order we were then able to persuade the AAT that the correct and preferable determination was to remit the decision to the Department to reconsider.
So justice was done and the family is now able to build their future here in Australia.
