Last week AR LAW SERVICES: Master Migration & Litigation Lawyers negotiated a settlement for one of our clients who had been badly treated by a dodgy migration agent. This agent was a real cowboy.
As often happens dodgy agents over promised – talked up his expertise to inflated his fees and get into all sorts of trouble. And the person who suffers is their client…
And as expected that is exactly what happened in this case – not only did the migration agent messed up the client’s visa application but he also destroyed the client’s life. (side note – AR LAW SERVICES did the remedial work on the application and won the client’s visa)
But to the story at hand – as always these dodgy migration agents lawyer up so we have to fight fire with fire. The good news – as happened here – this cowboy(the agent) perhaps because I had dealt with them in the past choose to settle.

Good news – another dodgy migration agent stopped from working – she had her licence revoked and she is barred for 5 years.
As reported in the VISA REPORT –
The Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) has made a significant decision in March 2025, cancelling the registration of Migration Agent (name with held). This action follows a thorough investigation into multiple complaints and a serious breach of professional conduct. Key findings include:
Failure to deliver services: The agent was engaged by 33 clients for a range of employer-sponsored visa applications, with fees paid between $3,100 to $30,400, yet no services were provided, and refunds were not issued.
Misuse of MARNs: It was discovered that the agent used the Migration Agent Registration Numbers (MARNs) of two other registered agents without their consent.
Deceptive practices and dishonesty: The investigation revealed that she misled clients and acted in a manner inconsistent with the professional standards outlined in the Migration Agents Code of Conduct.
Failure to communicate: She closed her business without notifying clients or providing alternative representation.
As a result of these findings, Ms. Bhandari has been deemed unfit to provide migration assistance and her registration has been cancelled under the Migration Act 1958. She is now prohibited from reapplying for registration for a period of five years.
