Dodgy (dishonest fraudulent) migration agent pretending to be a qualified Immigration Lawyer as reported by Channel 9 News
Another migration agent, lying and tricking clients. As reported on channel 9 news migration agent “Marleen Charan ripped off four clients for nearly $80,000” by pretending to be an immigration lawyer.
I often think of my job as being similar to that of a maid – I am constantly cleaning up the mess made by dodgy (bad incompetent dishonest) migration agents!
Not only do I have to fix the migration matter – that is the visa or citizenship application or appeal to the AAT or Federal Courts, I also have to try an fix the mess these dodgy agents have made of my clients’ lives.
It is difficult and emotionally draining work – constantly trying to unscramble these eggs and put their lives back on track – but as difficult as it is it is extremely rewarding. Take for example what this client said when I won all his money back. Money that he had paid a dodgy migration agent to run his AAT appeal – an appeal, it should be noted the agent lost was an appeal for a visa application the same agent had also lost – so all the money the client had spent on this dodgy agent for the AAT appeal we won back:
